The 31st tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built is 333 Bush Street, a 495-foot tall mixed-use building in San Francisco’s Financial District. The project is two blocks away from the Montgomery Street BART Station. Opened in 1986, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is the project architect.
A project application has been submitted for a hotel at 630 Geary Street in Civic Center, San Francisco. The project proposal consists of a change of use from tourist hotel rooms to residential hotel rooms. Piedmont-based, MW Design, is responsible for the conceptual designs and construction.
New building permits have been filed for a prominent new residential project on Treasure Island, an artificial island in San Francisco. The five-story building will add 117 new residential units as part of an 8,000-unit $6 billion district project in the Bay Area. Treasure Island Development Group, or TICD, is responsible for the development.
A preliminary application has been submitted for a project at 375 12th Street in Downtown Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of a ten-story mixed-use project with spaces for residential and commercial uses. CITYshapers Inc is the project applicant. Twelve Oaks Investment LLC is the property owner. Hunt Hale Jones Architects is managing the design concepts and construction.
Updated renderings have been published for the Woods Bagot-designed mixed-use building at 1200 Van Ness Avenue in Polk Gulch, San Francisco. The 13-story proposal will include a medical clinic, a grocery store, and 95 new apartments for ownership. The project is being developed by Derrick Chang, a long-time city resident who has since 1997 been the property owner.
