The Oakland Ballers baseball team has unveiled final details about the design of their planned ballpark at Raimondi Park in West Oakland, Alameda County. The recently formed team received approval from the Oakland City Council late last month, and construction has already started to improve the field for the Pioneer League team. Crews are working to finish work ahead of the nearly sold-out first home game on June 4th.
The Half Moon Bay Planning Commission has approved plans for a five-story affordable housing project at 555 Kelly Avenue in the heart of the coastal San Mateo County city. However, this approval was not simple, as several commissioners voiced strong disapproval of the project and vocalized potential conditions of approval that would contravene state law. The decision is appealable, and the project awaits final approval from the City Council.
An extension request has been filed for the proposed redevelopment of 130 Townsend Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The five-story office project, named Ampersand, was approved in 2021, but developer Presidio Bay Ventures hopes to extend the approval’s expiration date for another three years, still hoping to develop the centrally located parcel.
Crews have topped out, and facade installation is all but complete for the 12-story residential complex at 1951 Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The project, named Ace Berkeley, will bring approximately 163 units and retail near BART and the UC Berkeley campus. Grosvenor is the project developer.
New renderings have surfaced for an affordable housing project to rise at 121-197 Marinwood Avenue in unincorporated land just north of San Rafael in Marin County. The project will bring over a hundred rental units to vacant land next to a grocery store in the Lucas Valley area. Tableau Development Company is responsible for the application.
