A joint community and environmental public scoping meeting has been scheduled for tomorrow to review the plans for the Icon-Echo Towers, a mixed-use proposal for Downtown San Jose. The development, by Urban Catalyst, is expected to create two towers connected by a four-story podium, adding over half a million square feet of commercial space and over four hundred new apartments.
Updated renderings have been shared ahead of the final design review follow-up for 1951 Shattuck Avenue, a 12-story mixed-use proposal for Downtown Berkeley. The Alameda County project would create 163 new rental units to the city in desperate need of high-density housing. Grosvenor America is responsible for the development as the property owner.
A new mixed-use project has been proposed at El Paseo and 1777 Saratoga Avenue in San Jose. The project proposal includes the demolition of existing structures and the development of a mixed-use project on the site. El Paseo Property Owner LLC is the project applicant. The Prado Group has requested a project review meeting for a three-story residential proposal at 2055 Chestnut Street in San Francisco’s Marina District. The development would replace a bank and surface parking with 49 rental apartments and new retail space for the busy high-end neighborhood. Jensen Architects is managing the design.
The preliminary project assessment application has been filed for a new multi-family residential development at 1526 Powell Street, in the eastern corner of Russian Hill, San Francisco. The project will rise six floors from the John J. DeLucchi Sheet Metal Works building, preserving the facade and adding twenty apartments to the San Francisco housing market. JS Sullivan Development is responsible for the project.
