New renderings have been published for the residential infill plans at 2701 Broadway in Curtis Park, Sacramento. Separated by a freeway from the rest of Midtown and Downtown Sacramento, the project offers added density in a retail-rich neighborhood. Demolition permits were filed in mid-February. Baran Studio Architecture is the project architect.
New plans have been submitted for added single-story commercial structures at 180 El Camino Real, part of the Stanford Shopping Center of Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The project posits a small expansion, and reinvestment into the mall’s existing model, all while several others across the Bay Area have invested significant resources to developing mixed-use centers. Simon Properties is the project developer.
New plans have been revealed, showing similar shifts in programming and design for 1500 15th Street and 401 South Van Ness Avenue, both overlooking the same intersection in San Francisco’s Mission District. Initial plans for basement apartments have been removed, and now both projects will rise to be 11 stories tall. Elsey Partners is responsible for both applications.
Concrete is now above street level for the affordable housing tower at 921 Howard Street, across from 5M in SoMa, San Francisco. The project will add 203 new homes close to public transit. The project is being developed by a joint venture with Curtis Development and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation.
Construction is expected to start by mid-July of this year on the eight-story affordable housing project at 600 7th Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The expanded plans now produce 221 new affordable homes, over half of which will be for formerly homeless adults and families. Mercy Housing is responsible for the development as the property owner.
