New renderings have been published for the 12-story office proposal at 490 Brannan Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project will replace a vacant commercial structure with offices directly across from the new light rail station and two blocks from Caltrain’s San Francisco Station. Trammell Crow Company is the developer after purchasing the site from Strada last year for $54 million.
Modified plans have been submitted for a three-parcel residential development at 200, 211, and 215 North 16th Street by the American River in Sacramento. The project includes the adaptive reuse of two historic structures and the construction of 525 homes. Bauen Capital is the project developer.
New building permits have been filed for the nine-story affordable housing plan at 1515 South Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco’s Mission District. The 168-unit infill has been designated a priority by the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development to streamline approval. Chinatown Community Development Center and the Mission Economic Development Agency are jointly responsible for the project.
Construction has finished for Google’s first mass-timber office at 1265 Borregas Avenue in Moffett Park, Sunnyvale. The site is now adorned by Mothership, a two-ton sculpture by Mike Whiting that pays homage to the original Atari headquarters that preceded the new office. The project is one of the first in the Bay Area to use the burgeoning sustainable construction material.
