New building permits are filed for the mid-density residential project at 344 14th Street, on the north edge of the Mission District, San Francisco. The seven-story apartment block will add sixty new homes to the neighborhood, along with ground-floor retail. California-based Manouch Moshayedi of MX3 Ventures is responsible for the development after purchasing the parcel in 2015 for nearly $5 million.

Permits Filed For 153 Townsend Street In China Basin, San Francisco

Permits are filed for an expansion of office space at 153 Townsend Street in China Basin, located just out of downtown San Francisco. The permit calls for the interior renovation of the structure. Plans are for the replacement of parking levels on the third and fourth floors of the building. These parking levels with be replaced with office space. With the renovation, a total of 198 parking spaces will be removed, while 170 remain.

5M Nears Topping Out in SoMa, San Francisco

Construction for the billion dollar 5M is progressing quickly, with the largest building already near topping out sixteen months after groundbreaking in SoMa, San Francisco. The project will produce six structures, three new, three historic restorations. This includes the former headquarters of the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper, owned by Brookfield Properties’ partner for the development, Hearst. The master plan is by SITELAB Urban Studio, guided by the stated mission to create a privately funded arts- and community-oriented mixed-use district. Permits Filed for 42-Story 95 Hawthorne Street, SoMa, San Francisco

A 42-story residential tower planned for 95 Hawthorne Street has made another step towards its realization. Permits have been filed for the new building in SoMA, San Francisco, starting the process for construction to begin. A total of 412 dwelling units are planned for the building, a twenty-unit increase since its approval in the second half of 2019. Skidmore, Owings & Merrill will be responsible for the design.
