Builders Remedy for 300-Foot Tower Floated at 80 Willow Road in Menlo Park

New plans have been submitted for a four-structure mixed-use development with a 300-foot tower at 80 Willow Road in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. If built, the project would become the second tallest structure in San Mateo County by using the Builder’s Remedy, possibly creating hundreds of homes, hotel rooms, office space, and retail. Oisin Heneghan, the founder of N17 Development, is listed as the project applicant. Embarcadero Capital Partners is the property owner.

Affordable Redevelopment Proposed for 3300 Mission Street, San Francisco

Redevelopment permits have been filed for a six-story redevelopment of 3300 Mission Street in the Bernal Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. The plan will create 35 affordable housing units along the retail thoroughfare in the former 3300 Club. An LLC connected to Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center is the project developer.

Demolition Permits Filed for Transbay Block 2 in SoMa, San Francisco

Demolition permits have been filed for the existing single-story terminal building of Transbay Block 2 at 200 Folsom Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The permit was proceeded by new building permits from mid-November of last year for two future affordable housing developments with a total of 335 homes. The city’s planning department has yet to issue the permits to both developer, Mercy Housing, and the Chinatown Community Development Center.

Meeting Today For Chevron Park Redevelopment in San Ramon

The San Ramon Planning Department is scheduled to review plans to redevelop the former Chevron headquarters at 6001 Bollinger Canyon Road with a mixed-use neighborhood in San Ramon, Contra Costa County. The public study session will reshape the 92-acre campus, though details are preliminary. Sunset Development, the owner of Bishop Ranch, is responsible for the application.

Foundation Underway for Platform 16 by Downtown San Jose

Foundation work is nearly complete, with concrete reaching ground level for the North Building at Platform 16 in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. With Devcon nearly through the slowest phase of construction, the project will soon start to materialize the 1.1 million square feet of new office space by the city’s regional transit hub, Diridon Station. The development is a joint venture with Boston Properties, TMG Partners, and Valley Oak Partners.

Plans Shared for Housing and Offices in Downtown San Mateo

Plans have been published for two eight-story buildings at 668 East Third Avenue with housing and offices in San Mateo, San Mateo County. The development, named Post + Beam, will include 59 homes and a large mass-timber office block four blocks from the San Mateo Caltrain Station. Oakland-based Harvest Properties is the project developer.

New plans have been filed for a transit-oriented residential infill next to a VTA Light Rail Station in San Jose, Santa Clara County. The proposal will replace the surface parking lots by Capitol Station at 600 East Capital Express with 203 affordable homes, retail, and landscaped open space. MidPen Housing, an affordable housing developer, is listed as responsible for the project.

NX Ventures has submitted plans for a new 14-story infill at 2109 Milvia Street in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The proposal would replace a surface parking lot with 105 new homes one block from the Berkeley BART Station. Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the design.

Preliminary Permits For 8-Story Infill at 2201 Market Street, San Francisco

New plans have been filed for an eight-story apartment tower at the triangular corner lot at 2201 Market Street in the Castro, San Francisco. The new plans represent an increase from plans approved in 2016 with 14 market-rate homes. Now, the project will create 20 units with three affordable apartments. Polaris Pacific is listed as the property owner.
