The Environmental Impact Report has been published for the potentially massive redevelopment of the Tanforan Mall in San Bruno, San Mateo County. The EIR considers two possible scenarios for the mixed-use redevelopment, where the balance of housing to office space is flipped. Alexandria Real Estate Equities is the project developer.
A new Tentative Mao and Grading Approval documents were submitted for a large housing project covering 400 new single-family homes and 100 ADUs in an unincorporated Higuera Highland area of Santa Clara County. The project brought by Ginsberg and Kinion Trust will be a horseback riding-focused community, including publicly shared open spaces, a riding arena, horse trails, stables, an event center, and a community center. The horseback riding trails are to connect with the nearby Joseph D Grant County park area.
Planning approval has been granted for the mixed-use conversion of a historic office building at 1800 3rd Street in Downtown Sacramento. The proposal aims to develop over a hundred units of housing, retail, and self-storage. Heller Pacific and Hines are jointly sponsoring the project.
Planning permits have been filed for the conversion of a four-story office building into a self-storage facility at 60 Federal Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The complex has served as a facility for the Academy of Art University for over a decade. Seattle-based Tourbineau Real Estate Partners is listed as the property owner.
The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review the eight-story proposal at 425 Broadway in North Beach, San Francisco. The development has been undergoing planning department review since its last change of ownership in 2017, evolving several times and increasing its potential residential capacity to 75 units. San Jose-based Yeh’s Development is the project applicant filing through Montgomery Place LLC.
