Development permits have been approved for the proposed six-story affordable housing infill at 3419 San Pablo Avenue in West Oakland, Alameda County. The proposal, led by East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation, will replace a surface parking lot and small structures next to the California Hotel with 60 new homes. Residents will be given access to a community space and residential services.
Project plans have been published for a seven-story infill at 1899 Oxford Street in North Berkeley, Alameda County. The project will create over a hundred homes on the northwest corner of the UC Berkeley Campus and ten minutes on foot from Downtown Berkeley BART. Berkland Foundation is listed as the property owner.
New plans have been filed for an eight-story apartment complex at 585 17th Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. The proposal will replace a narrow surface lot with nearly a hundred homes. DM Development is responsible for the application, working on behalf of the property owners, Lincoln Village Offices.
A preliminary application has been submitted seeking the approval of a new mixed-use project at 2350 Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the construction of a new eight-story building offering residential and commercial spaces. Plans call for the removal of two existing non-landmarked commercial structures on the site. Kick-Axe Properties is listed as the owner. Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the designs.
The San Francisco Parks Department and Planning Commission have unanimously approved the Three Transamerica redevelopment in San Francisco’s Financial District. Three Transamerica, or 545 Sansome Street, is the second phase of SHVO’s billion-dollar investment in the historic office complex with design by Foster + Partners. Its adaptive reuse will create a new gateway for the city’s most iconic skyscraper.
