Six months after construction topped out, crews have all but finished facade installation for the commercial redevelopment of 100 Stockton Street near San Francisco’s Union Square. The project has made adaptive reuse of a seven-story mid-century department store with expanded offices and modernized retail facilities. Morgan Stanley and Blatteis & Schnur are responsible for the development.
A new apartment building overlooking Market Street is nearing the opening point. Crews have begun dismantling the crane for 1028 Market Street in the southeast corner of San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. The project will produce affordable and market-rate housing blocks away from two BART Stations. The Olympic Residential Group and Tidewater Capital are responsible for the development.
Construction is wrapping up on 30 Otis Street as the tower is preparing for move-ins later this summer. The SoMa development will add 416 new dwelling units to the San Francisco housing market, along with retail and an updated home for the City Ballet School. Align Development is the project developer.
Sunnyvale Planning Commission will be conducting a study session to review a proposal for two new hotel buildings at 247-295 Commercial Street, Sunnyvale. The project proposal consists of the construction of two hotels with shared underground parking. The project requires a Tentative Map to allow a site subdivision and merger. Lowney Architecture is managing the design concepts and construction. One Union Studio is the interior designer.
Demolition permits have been filed for a single-story commercial structure to make way for a five-story residential building at 2650 Telegraph Avenue in South Berkeley. The proposal would add 45 new dwelling units, including affordable housing, to the East Bay housing market. Trachtenberg Architects is responsible for the design.
