A new multi-family residential project has been approved for development at 4350 El Camino Real in Los Altos, Santa Clara County. The project proposal includes the development of a new five-story residential building with onsite parking. Plans call for the demolition of an exisiting gas service station on the site. Seidel Architects is responsible for the designs. Reed Gilliand is the landscape architect.
Renderings have been revealed for an eight-story residential infill for 160 Freelon Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project, also addressed as 639 Bryant Street, would replace a vacant building and surface parking with 85 units of affordable housing. Related Companies is the project developer collaborating with the City and County of San Francisco. Groundbreaking is expected in 2024.
Today’s Santa Clara Development Review Hearing will consider plans for affordable housing at 80 Saratoga Way. City staff is recommending the board approve the project as consistent with Senate Bill 35 and the State Density Bonus Law. If approved, the project could add 200 new homes to the Santa Clara County housing market.
New renderings have been published along with greater detail about the proposed mixed-use El Cerrito Plaza in Contra Costa County. The project could create as many as 800 homes, a park, and a potential new library on top of surface parking around the El Cerrito BART Station. Holliday Development and Related Companies are joint developers.
A design review meeting has been scheduled for a project proposed at 1065 South Winchester Boulevard in San Jose. The project proposal includes the development of a a six-story residential building. Cord Associates is sponsoring the development. Carpira Design Group is the project architect. Shila Yasmeh is the landscape architect, and Kier+Wright is the civil engineer. A & Z Development, a San Jose-based firm run by an individual in San Jose, is the property owner.
