Senior Housing for 2800 Florin Road, Meadowview, Sacramento

Permits have been filed for a new senior-housing project at 2800 Florin Road, in Meadowview, Sacramento. The six-building permit would add a total of 150 units to a currently vacant 4.5-acre lot fifteen minutes from the city center. The Christian Church Homes development team is leading the project. The CCH already run 2,390 units at thirty sites across three states. With this latest project, they will be creating a new residential enclave in a mostly suburban district, with the first one hundred units built for $36 million.

Large Affordable Housing Project Coming To Treasure Island, San Francisco

A new multifamily affordable housing project has broken ground on Treasure Island, San Francisco. This one project, known as the Maceo May Apartments, will add just over a hundred new residential units, of which 65 are for veterans. The six-story structure is a modular construction, yielding 104,000 square feet across the 0.74-acre parcel. The building will be a mix of studios, one-bedrooms, and two bedrooms. The Chinatown Community Development Center and Swords of Plowshare, a Bay Area developer, will be developing the project jointly.

Permits Filed For 990 Geary Street In The Tenderloin, San Francisco

Permits have been filed for a residential expansion at 990 Geary Street in the Tenderloin, San Francisco. The building’s first floor will be refurbished to make way for seven new residential units, along with an interior renovation of the full structure. This will bring the unit count of the structure up from 60 apartments to 67.

Duplex Filed for 1317 D Street, Mansion Flats, Sacramento

Permits have been filed for a new duplex with ADUs at 1317 D Street, located in Sacramento’s Mansion Flats neighborhood. The project will produce four residential units to the city, with three parking spots on site. The development will require splitting an existing lot, a “new cool roof,” and assigning a new address.

Permits Filed For 2709 Jackson Street In Pacific Heights, San Francisco

Permits have been filed to add density to 2709 Jackson Street in the neighborhood of Pacific Heights, San Francisco. The permit calls for the interior renovation of the structure. The building, which is currently a large single-family home, will be converted to make way for two new residential units. An additional dwelling unit is planned for the building as well, which would bring the unit count of the property up from one single-family residence to three apartment units.

Construction Tops Out for 3001 24th Street Senior Housing, Mission District, San Francisco

Construction has topped out for the five-story affordable housing project at 3001 24th Street in the Mission District of San Francisco. The project will provide 45 new units for senior citizens in a retail and transit-rich thoroughfare. Mission Neighborhood Centers and Mercy Housing are responsible for the development, after purchasing it from Pepsico nearly twenty-five years ago.

Permits have been filed to expand a residential building at 194 Thrift Street in the neighborhood of Ingleside, San Francisco. The property sits between Plymouth Avenue and Capitol Avenue. Nearby transit access is offered to BART via Balboa Park Station, as well as MUNI light rail at a station located adjacent to the BART hub.

The project is being handled through the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development, while Tenderloin and Chinatown-based community organizations, TNDC & CCDC, will be responsible for development. The project reference Senate Bill 35 and Assembly Bill 1763 to add priority and privileges to the permit.

Construction Update for 137-Unit 830 Eddy Street, Fillmore District, San Francisco

Construction is quickly rising at 830 Eddy Street, a new residential high-rise in the Fillmore District. The thirteen-story structure is a development by BUILD, one of the most prolific developers in the city. Once complete, it will provide 137 new houses to a quickly-developing neighborhood.
