Construction has officially started for the new affordable housing on Hunters Point Shipyards’ Blocks 52 and 54 in San Francisco. The bayside project will bring 112 multi-family units at two sites with funding from the Office of Community Infrastructure and Investment. Jonathan Rose Companies and Bayview Senior Services are jointly responsible for the project as co-developers.
Development permits have been submitted for the 19-story residential tower at 2305 Webster Street in Northgate-Waverly, Oakland. The formal application follows preliminary plans submitted to the city planning department in early April this year. Segula Investments is the project developer.
New renderings have been published showcasing a new mixed-use project at 620 15th Street in Sacramento. The project proposal includes the construction of a new three-story mixed-use building offering spaces for retail and residential uses. Urban Capital LLC is the project applicant. Williams + Paddon is responsible for the designs.
Development permits have been approved for the six-story residential infill and market hall at 6955 Foothill Boulevard in East Oakland, Alameda County. The Liberation Park Residences and Market Hall will replace an unbuilt parcel with 120 affordable houses and a permanent location for the farmers market that operates on Liberation Park today. The filing was expedited thanks to Senate Bills 35 and 330.
Major rehabilitation has been proposed for a housing project at 20 Franklin Street in Civic Center, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the rehabilitation of an 100% affordable housing project to bring structural upgrades, new residential units, and renovations. Mercy Housing California is the property owner.
