New renderings have been shared ahead of a public project review this Thursday for an eight-story residential infill at 2480 Bancroft Way in Southside, Berkeley. The project will build up the low-slung parcel with 125 bedrooms and retail in the busy neighborhood next to the UC Berkeley Campus. Ruegg & Ellsworth is the project developer.
A new housing project has been approved for construction at 1244 Cherry Street in San Carlos. The project proposal includes the development of a five-story apartment complex offering affordable homes for rent. The onsite office structure and the remaining housing units will be demolished. Nonprofits HIP Housing and Eden Housing have teamed to form Cherry Street Commons as the project developers.
Revised plans will be reviewed for a new residential infill at 128 Lorton Avenue in Burlingame, San Mateo County. The city’s Planning Commission is scheduled tomorrow to consider the five-story apartment complex rising just over a block from the busy Burlingame Avenue and Caltrain Station. The Burlingame-based Zeka Group is listed as the project developer.
New permits have been filed for a residential expansion at 3065 23rd Street in the Mission District, San Francisco. The development will merge the interior of two existing vacant buildings built in the 1890s and create new floor area to increase the unit count from three to nine. Kotas Pantaleoni Architects is responsible for the design.
Construction has nearly topped out for the three five-story structures at 777 West Middlefield in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The infill is creating 716 apartments, though required the demolition of 208 rent-stabilized units in Village Lakes. DigitalBridge, formerly known as Colony Capital and founded by Trump donor Tom Barrack, is responsible for the development via Miramar Capital.
