The preliminary project assessment application has been closed as plans advance for the six-story mixed-use building at 80 Julian Avenue, to be called The Village, in the Mission District, San Francisco. Friendship House, the project lead, describes The Village as a unique urban proposal, an inter-tribal community coalition center for Native organizations and groups serving the city’s Indigenous population.

Steel Rises & Roads Visible in Phase One of Mission Rock, San Francisco

Construction has started for Phase One of the Mission Rock development in Mission Bay, San Francisco. The land has been graded with foundations for the road network already visible and the steel superstructure for The Canyon on Parcel A rising over 3rd Street. Phase One includes two residential buildings, two offices, and the waterfront China Basin Park. Tishman Speyer is responsible for the development in partnership with the city’s major league baseball team, The Giants, and the Port of San Francisco.

Approval Expected for Riaz Capital’s Chestnut Street development, West Oakland

Plans for a twelve-unit townhouse project are expected to be approved with conditions by the City of Oakland’s planning department. The project will replace existing industrial buildings and a vacant house with three structures and a detached community facility at 2420-2432 Chestnut Street and 2423 Linden Street in West Oakland, in walking distance from the De Fremery Park. Riaz Capital is responsible for the development.
