New Renderings Revealed for Balboa Reservoir Development, San Francisco

New renderings have been revealed for Blocks C, D, E, and F of the Balboa Reservoir development plan around 11 Frida Kahlo Way in San Francisco. The project will rise across from the City College of San Francisco campus, replacing 17 acres of surface parking and open land with over a thousand mixed-income apartments, retail, and childcare facilities. Balboa Reservoir is a joint venture between BRIDGE Housing and AvalonBay Communities.

PPA Filed for New United Irish Cultural Center, Parkside, San Francisco

A preliminary project assessment has been filed for a proposed new home for the United Irish Cultural Center at 2700 45th Avenue in San Francisco’s Parkside neighborhood. The six-story building will significantly expand the existing structure with expanded programming to serve the Bay Area’s Irish community. The United Irish Cultural Center Inc. is responsible for the development as the property owner.

UC Regents Approve People’s Park Development in Southside, Berkeley

The UC Board of Regents has approved plans for UC Berkeley construct a $312 million mixed-housing project to replace the historically significant People’s Park in Southside, Berkeley. The L-shaped complex would take up less than half of the existing park to create housing for 1,113 university students and roughly a hundred units for extremely low income, unhoused, or formerly unhoused people. 1.7 acres of the 2.8-acre park would become landscaped open space.

Permits Filed For Mixed-Use At 201 El Camino Real, Menlo Park

Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a new mixed-use project proposed at 201 El Camino Real in Menlo Park. The project proposal includes the construction of a three-story mixed-use building with two levels of on-site parking. Plans call for architectural control and environmental review for the demolition of an existing commercial building and multi-family residential building. EID Architects is managing the design concepts and construction.
