Applications requesting design review have been submitted for a mixed-use proposed at 1249 Park Street in Alameda. The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use building offering residential and retail spaces. The site sits adjacent to a vacant lot and a small sandwich shop on the site will be demolished. Fumio Suda Architect is responsible for the design concepts.
Several demolition permits have been filed to clear the way for 400 Divisadero Street, a residential infill at the corner of Oak Street in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood. The long-planned development is aiming to replace two car-oriented structures and low-density buildings with 186 new homes. Genesis CA Development is listed as the project developer.
The El Paseo proposal by Sand Hill Property and KTGY in San Jose has received the MHN Gold Excellence Award for the ‘Best Unbuilt’ multi-home proposal of 2021. The development would replace a 10.7-acre portion of a sprawling strip mall complex with nearly a thousand new homes and new retail at 1777 Saratoga Avenue in West San Jose, adjacent to the suburb-dominated city of Saratoga.
Filed in 2018, plans by Onni Group and IBI Group proposed a 638-foot tall apartment tower and a 16-story office building that would launch Emeryville, a dense city between Berkeley and Oakland, into the Bay Area’s skyline. Eventually, plans for the tower were withdrawn in 2020. Now, a new developer expects to build at 5801-5861 Christie Avenue, but with a significantly reduced profile.
Demolition permits have been filed ahead of construction for the six-story residential infill at 4550 Mission Street in Outer Mission, San Francisco. The project will replace two existing commercial buildings with 69 new rental homes, including 17 affordable units. David Chen is responsible for the application via ANJE LLC.
