Excavation work is nearly finished for the Helen Diller Anchor House, a new UC Berkeley student dorm. The $300 million project will create 772 apartment-style bedrooms and additional facilities for the university and community at 1921 Walnut Street in Downtown Berkeley. Morris Adjmi Architects is responsible for the design.
Final Design Review has been scheduled for a mixed-use project proposed at 2099 Martin Luther King Jr Way in Downtown Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development of a seven-story building offering 72 new dwelling units and retail space. The project will replace a single-story auto service building spanning an area of 3,595 square feet. East Beach Capital is responsible for the project via 2099 MLK LLC. Kava Massih Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
Construction has wrapped up on Prism, a 13-story apartment building at 1028 Market Street in Mid-Market, San Francisco. The project has added 185 new homes to the city’s market, with interiors by IwamotoScott Architecture. The Olympic Residential Group and Tidewater Capital are responsible for the development.
Construction is moving quickly for Mission Rock, the mixed-use waterfront development with offices, housing, and public open space in Mission Bay. Crews have started with the first four of eleven new structures to replace 28 acres of surface parking once used for the San Francisco Giants Oracle Park visitors. Demolition permits have been filed for three structures to make way for 555 Byrant Street, a 16-story residential proposal in SoMa, San Francisco. The development will create five hundred new homes with on-site parking and co-working lounges. Strada Investment Group is responsible for the application.
