A recent site visit by SFYIMBY reveals that construction is well underway for the mixed-use development at Middle Plaza in Menlo Park, Silicon Valley. The project will bring 215 new apartments beside 10,000 square feet of retail, a new public park, and 276,610 square feet of new office space within walking distance from a Caltrain station. Stanford University is sponsoring the development.
Construction permits were filed seeking the approval of constructing an eight-story building at 4742 Mission Street in Outer Mission, San Francisco. The project sponsor proposes the demolition of the existing fifteen-foot-tall, one-story commercial building, and a seventy-five-foot tall mixed-use building.

Its curtain wall facade is fully sealed up, though work remains for interiors and landscaping. SKS Partners is sponsoring the development, working in partnership with the property’s longtime owner.
New renderings have been released as developers filed preliminary applications for an affordable senior housing development at 2125 Telegraph Avenue, located in the northern portion of Downtown Oakland. The eight-story building will rise beside the 1910-built former home to Oakland’s YMCA. Mercy Housing is responsible for the development.

This asymmetrical tower stands as the most prominent postmodernist skyscraper in the city and an enduring icon in the skyline. The hotel was completed in 1989 with a rooftop height of 436 feet.
