Permits to Convert Church to Housing at 554 Fillmore Street, Lower Haight, San Francisco

Updated plans have been filed to convert a former church at 554 Fillmore Street into a mixed-use development with housing and an event space in San Francisco’s Lower Haight. The adaptive reuse expects to retain much of the former Sacred Heart Church’s exterior and nave while creating five floors for housing on the eastern end. The Pollard Group is sponsoring the project.

Builder’s Remedy for 11-Story Infill at 101 Delmas Avenue, San Jose

MANU Studios has submitted an updated application for the 11-story mixed-use proposal at 101 Delmas Avenue in San Jose. The filing reveals newer renderings since coverage from June of last year and introduces the Builder’s Remedy provision to expedite the approval process. If built, the project will bring 80 new homes on a small lot close to Diridon Station and Downtown San Jose.

Construction Underway for 3945 Judah Street in Outer Sunset, San Francisco

Construction is rising for a new five-story apartment at 3945 Judah Street in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The project has replaced the former Eugene’s Automotive Repair shop, with crews now working on bringing twenty apartments close to Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park. The applicant used HOME-SF to increase the project capacity and ensure five units would be designated as affordable.
