A new mixed-use project has been proposed for development at 2136-2154 San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development of a new six-story mixed-use building offering residential spaces, live-work units, parking, and onsite amenities. Trachtenberg Architects is managing the design concept and construction of the project. San Pablo Investors Two, LLC is the project applicant and property owner.
A preliminary application has been filed for a new mixed-use infill at 1776-1790 University Avenue in Central Berkeley, Alameda County. The project will replace three existing structures with 17 units, including two affordable units. Alameda-based Wang Brothers Investment is responsible for the application.
KTGY has announced the grand opening of Nine88, a mixed-use apartment complex at 988 El Camino Real in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The building has 172 new homes, ground-level retail, and views of the city’s iconic Sign Hil. SummerHill Apartment Communities is the project developer.
The San Jose Planning Commission has approved plans for a 26-story residential skyscraper for 17-31 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose, Santa Clara County. However, the project is threatened because the VTA aims to seize part of the land through eminent domain for the future San Jose VTA/BART Station. The project team believes Eterna Tower can contain the new train station entrance. The VTA disagrees.
Kimco Realty Corporation has announced plans to redevelop a corner of the Fremont Hub Shopping Center with a residential infill in the city of Fremont, Alameda County. The proposal will replace retail and surface parking with 314 homes, a new pharmacy building, and new landscaping.
