The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use project offering residential, office, parking, and open spaces. Plans call for the demolition of an existing single-family residential building and two accessory structures on the site. Removal of 10 ordinance-sized trees and 24 non-ordinance-sized trees is also requested. Yoneda Enterprises LP is the property owner. KTGY Architects is responsible for the design concepts.

Construction work is underway for Garden Gate Tower, a 23-story residential building in Downtown San Jose. The building is rising at 600 South First Street, located at the street’s intersection with East Reed Street and next to the I-280 Freeway. Scape, an international real estate firm with offices in Boston, is the project developer.

San Mateo Planning Commission has recommended approval for a mixed-use project at 500 East 3rd Avenue in San Mateo. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story building offering residential and office spaces. Windy Hill Property Ventures is the project applicant. Arizona-based Arc Tec is responsible for the design concepts. KLA is the landscape architect, and BKF is the civil engineer.

Crews have topped out the senior housing block and the townhomes for the multi-structure Santa Clara Agrihood project. The project has reshaped the vacant lot by the border of Santa Clara and San Jose, with plans to open up 361 new homes, retail, and urban farmland by next year. Core Companies, a real estate and construction firm, is responsible for the development.

The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use townhouse community, redeveloping the western portion of the Fremont Corner shopping center. Plans call for subdivision of the parcel into five lots. The True Life Companies is the project applicant. Fremont Corners Inc is the property owner. SDG Architects is responsible for the design. R3 Studios is the landscape architect.

The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for the Energy Hub Tower, designed by Bjarke Ingels Group for Downtown San Jose. The proposal aims to create nearly two hundred homes, offices, retail, and public open space all inside a 21-story pants-shaped building. The proposal is part of the Westbank Campus for San Jose, developed in partnership with Urban Community.

El Paseo de Saratoga Approved by San Jose City Council

El Paseo de Saratoga has been approved by the San Jose City Council. The project would bring new density to an area defined by suburban sprawl along Santa Clara County’s western edge. Constructions will replace a portion of a strip mall with nearly a thousand new homes, offices, and a new Whole Foods grocery store at 1312 El Paseo de Saratoga and 1777 Saratoga Avenue. Sand Hill Property is the project developer.

The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review the proposal for 3055 Clement Street today. The project would rise from a small corner lot in San Francisco’s Outer Richmond with nine units, of which three will be affordable. The proposal is seeking HOME-SF authorization to allow construction, along with exceptions for rear yard requirements and approval for the purposes of CEQA.
