Commission Approves Magnolias Affordable Housing in Morgan Hill, Santa Clara County

The City of Morgan Hill Planning Commission has voted to approve the Magnolias Affordable Housing project, bringing new affordable housing to the affluent small city in the southern reaches of Santa Clara County. The five-story project would create 66 new homes at 17965 Monterey Road, within walking distance of the town’s central retail hub and Caltrain station. First Community Housing is the project developer.

Elevations Revealed for Housing Conversion at 2040 Webster Street, San Francisco

New illustrations have been revealed for new housing development and adaptive reuse of a 1912-built historic structure. Located at 2040 Webster Street in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights, the project will create 24 new homes with on-site amenities and open space. March Capital Management is responsible for the development as the property owner, acting through Gokovacandir LLC.

The fifth tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built in the SFYIMBY January 2021 Countdown is the Transbay Parcel F at 550 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. Proposed by a joint venture with Hines, Urban Pacific, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the mixed-use tower will rise 806 feet above street level. Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of next year.
