Development permits have been filed and approved for a six-story residential development at 2116 Brush Street in Ralph Bunche, West Oakland. The project will transform a currently vacant parcel on Downtown Oakland’s border and just under fifteen minutes walk from the 19th Street Oakland BART station. Oak Brook Partners is responsible for the development, dubbed Villa Oakland.
Berkeley’s Design Review Committee is expected to approve a new three-story medical facility at 800 Dwight Way, just blocks from the waterfront Aquatic Park in industrial Southwest Berkeley. The project, dubbed Building 69, is to house phases two and three of Bayer’s Cell Culture Technology Center. PM Group is responsible for the design and project management.
New building permits have been filed for a new two-story restaurant and warehouse at 16 Toland Street, near Islais Creek in Bayview, San Francisco. The address is notable for being the victim of a four-alarm fire in March of 2020. The site was host to a locally-beloved eatery, the Bonanza Restaurant.
New building permits have been filed to construct a four-story senior housing building and community center at 70 and 76 North Winchester Boulevard, Santa Clara. These addresses are part of the multi-building mixed-use development dubbed Santa Clara Agrihood. The City entered a private-public partnership with Core Companies to construct 1.5 acres of agriculture connected to 361 homes, of which the City will sell 181 as affordable.
Renderings have revealed plans for a mixed-use affordable housing project at 5700 Stockton Boulevard in Fruitridge Manor, Sacramento. The project will fill the former San Juan Motel site, which was demolished almost a decade prior. Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency recently selected Mutual Housing California to be responsible for the development.
