For the last twelve days of 2024, SF YIMBY will look back on each month and reflect on the biggest stories we covered. During April, we shared updates from Sacramento, construction progress on 555 Bryant Street, the China Basin Park ribbon cutting, and a 23-story residential tower proposed near the Castro.
Construction has started for an eight-story apartment complex at 2587 Telegraph Avenue in Southside, Berkeley. The student-oriented complex will provide 485 beds within 52 separate units along the retail-rich thoroughfare. Gilbane Development Company is the project developer.
Permits have been filed for a commercial infill at 4450 Marysville Boulevard in Robla, North Sacramento. The project will reshape a vacant parcel with retail and a garage for the charter bus and limousine company, MGM Transportation. Kelly Architecture & Planning is responsible for the application and design.
For the last twelve days of 2024, SF YIMBY will look back on each month and reflect on the biggest stories we covered. In March, preliminary plans surfaced for several big projects, new details emerged for the High Speed Rail’s Central Valley Stations, and construction topped out for affordable housing in the Richmond District. We interviewed with the developer behind the proposed 72-story residential skyscraper in SoMa, and plans increased for the ill-fated tower next to Telegraph Hill, backed by a politically active billionaire.
