Commercial New Building permits have been filed to the city for the four-story project, proposing to replace vacant land and surface parking in the under-built Sacramento Railyards district. Mutual Housing is the project owner and developer.
Development plans have been in the works to convert an existing four-story parking garage into housing at 55 Francisco Street in North Beach, San Francisco. Now, updated elevations give insight to the mid-density plans, still below the profile of the neighboring office block. Atlanta-based Jamestown LP is responsible for the project.
New renderings have been revealed with the development permit for Villa Fruitvale, a proposed six-story apartment complex for 3751 International Boulevard in Fruitvale, Oakland. The development will create 183 new apartments designated affordable for low and very low-income households for youth and workforce families. Oakbrook Partners is responsible for the application.
Building permits have been approved for the five-story apartment project at 469 40th Street in Mosswood, Oakland. The project will create 34 new units two blocks away from the MacArthur BART station and AC Transit. Three Steps Properties is responsible for the development.
Demolition permits have been submitted to the city for the existing building at 180 Park Avenue in Downtown San Jose. The application hopes to clear the low-rise convention hall for Park Habitat, a 20-story office building proposed by the international Westbank and local firm Urban Community. The proposed office tower will create an innovative new addition to the skyline, with its distinctive design by Kengo Kuma & Associates, a Japan-based firm.
