Development permits have been approved for the construction of a five-story residential infill at 459 Wayne Avenue in Cleveland Heights, Oakland. The project has increased in size from 17 to 20 new homes, of which four will be affordable. Larson Shores Architects is responsible for the design.
New plans have been filed for a single-family home at 6069 Skyline Boulevard in the Oakland Hills, Alameda County. Peter David Gilbert Architects is responsible for the design, with an Orinda-based resident as the property owner.
The Draft Environmental Impact Report is now complete, opening up the public review period for a new six-story life sciences building at 405 Industrial Road in San Carlos, San Mateo County. The development will replace a self-storage facility with nearly a quarter million square feet of leasable area. Menlo Equities and Beacon Capital Partners are joint venture partners for the project.

The project, dubbed Orchid, will create ground-level retail and 27 new homes, of which three will be affordable. Arris Studio Architects is managing the application on behalf of an El Cerrito-based LLC.
Crews have started preparing for the demolition of a four-story structure ahead of construction of the 19-story apartment block at 1510 Webster Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. Helped by an updated California Building Code passed in 2021, 1510 Webster is expected to be the second tallest wooden tower in the country. Oakland-based oWOW is the project developer and architect.
