The environmental review process has officially started for the Heritage on the Marina retirement community in San Francisco’s Marina District. The Notice of Preparation for the Environmental Impact Report of the proposed expansion of the Julia Morgan-designed facility has been published. The San Francisco Ladies’ Protection and Relief Society is the property owner.
Details plans have been published for a proposed residential development at 2222 Senter Road in southern San Jose, Santa Clara County. Using the Builder’s Remedy, the project will replace the former DMV Driver’s License Processing Center with three seven-story apartment complexes. Vicky Ching of HC Investment Associates LP is the property owner.
New plans have been filed for the Auburn Grove townhome development along Woodland Avenue and Auburn Street in San Rafael, Marin County. The development will bring dozens of homes to a vacant parcel. City Ventures is the project developer.
Construction has topped out on the eight-story housing complex at 420 Mendocino Avenue in Downtown Santa Rosa, Sonoma County. Related California started construction in 2023 after securing a $61.4 million construction financing loan with East West Bank, Preferred Bank, and RED Housing Fund. Now that the structure has topped out, crews are on schedule for the projected opening in Spring 2025.
New aerial renderings have been published alongside a development agreement for the proposed Stonestown Mall redevelopment in San Francisco. Brookfield Properties is responsible for the application, which would replace the surface parking surrounding the shopping center into a relatively dense mixed-use neighborhood. The project will be reviewed by the city’s Planning Commission tomorrow.
