Construction Expected To Start This Year for 30 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco

The San Francisco Planning Department has released the mitigation measures document for the 30 Van Ness Avenue construction process as Lendlease confirms with SFYIMBY they are working to start construction this year. The 47-story addition to the Civic Center will bring market-rate apartments, low-income units, retail, and new office space less than ten minutes away from BART on foot. Lendlease is the project developer.

New Renderings Revealed for Hotel at 615 Stockton Avenue, Garden Alameda, San Jose

New renderings have been revealed for the proposed five-story hotel at 615 Stockton Avenue in Garden Alameda, San Jose. The project, to be known as Victoria Hotel, is right across the street from the northern extension of the 262-acre Diridon Station Area Plan. The proposal will open 80 new hotel guest rooms within walking distance of the Diridon Station transit hub, marking a change from a September draft to shift the project to moderate-income affordable housing. San Jose-based Infinite Investment Realty is the project owner.

Standing at the Salesforce Tower’s foot, 100 First Plaza is not among the city’s most recognizable structures. By comparison, it almost appears short. Yet, with a pinnacle 447 feet above street level, it is the 42nd tallest building in the Bay Area built or planned. The tower, located at 100 First Street in SoMa, opened in 1988 with a postmodernist design from the office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

The Santa Clara Development Review hearing to be held later today is expected to approve action on phase one of the Gateway Crossing project at 1205 Coleman Avenue, Santa Clara. The project aims to build a significant residential hub adjacent to Caltrain’s Santa Clara Station, the San Jose city border, and the San Jose International Airport.
