New building permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 611 Rhode Island Street, on Potrero Hill, San Francisco. The 37-foot structure would yield 4,120 square feet, of which 3,515 square feet is for residential use. BMW Properties LLC, unrelated to the German manufacturing company, is listed as the property owner.

Following a recent application, the city of Santa Clara will soon review plans for an eight-story residential building at 2354 Calle Del Mundo in Santa Clara’s Tasman East Specific Plan. If approved, the development will be one of six admitted in the 45-acre redevelopment with offices, housing, and nearby light rail master-planned by the City of Santa Clara. Five more projects are awaiting approval. Ensemble is responsible for developing this building.
Permits have been filed to review plans for a three-story residential infill at 740 Darina Avenue, located in the Old North Sacramento neighborhood. The project will create fourteen apartments. Oak Park Properties Inc. is responsible for the development as the property owner.
Recent permits have provoked confusion concerning the 5.8 acre-parcel at 900 7th Street in Mission Bay, San Francisco. Recology, a San Francisco-based company, is the current property owner and has been since the 1970s. SFYIMBY confirmed with the developers that their proposed 1.2 million square foot mixed-use development, designed by SOM, is very much an active project. We had to verify this because of a recent project review meeting application for a commercial facility on the same land. Recology learned of the contradictory permits because of our correspondence.
Alliant Capital has announced the $30 million investment has closed, progressing plans to build the 151-unit affordable housing project at 450 Kawana Springs Road in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County. The 60-foot project will bring a new hub of medium-high density residential living immediately opposite the large Santa Rosa Market Place shopping center inside the Mendocino / Santa Rosa Avenue Priority Development Area. Kawana Springs also provides housing for residents displaced by the 2017 wildfires.
