Plans are underway for a new low-density residential project at 8161 Redwood Boulevard in the city of Novato, Marin County. The proposal would build 80 affordable housing units in 23 structures covering an eighth of the 13-acre property. Habitat for Humanity is responsible for development.
Renderings have been revealed for a new residential infill at 3458 Mount Diablo Boulevard in Lafayette, Contra Costa County. The project would replace an existing single-floor commercial structure with nine rental townhomes and a pocket park across two structures. One unit is designated to be affordable housing. Coast Architecture and Design is managing the project.
Three demolition permits have been filed to make way for the construction of Kelsey Civic Center, a new eight-story affordable housing project at 234-240 Van Ness Avenue. The proposal will add 112 new residences and ground-level retail across from City Hall in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood. Mercy Housing is the project developer.
Development permits have been filed for a proposed multi-family apartment building at 5527 Vicente Way in Shafter, Oakland. The project would build around an existing single-family residence on-site to create six new dwelling units. Lafayette-based Branagh Development is responsible for the application.
The San Bruno City Council has approved plans for Google to expand YouTube’s headquarters with over two million square feet of office space, potential housing, shops, and a hotel as part of the Bayhill Specific Plan. The project will extend across five separate phases. Phase one starts with SHoP Architects-designed offices at 1300 Bayhill Drive and 1350 Grundy Lane, San Bruno, San Mateo County. The nearly half a million square foot phase. HLW is the architect of record.
