Construction has Topped Out for 198 McAllister Street in San Francisco

Construction has topped out for the 14-story UC Law San Francisco development at 198 McAllister Street in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood. The project represents phase two of the Academic Village redevelopment of the city block. The project is a joint venture with the UCSF College of the Law San Francisco and Greystar. Once complete, it will provide dorms, classrooms, and a variety of facilities by the summer of 2023.

Energy Hub Tower Proposal for Downtown San Jose Pushes Forward, Council Vote Expected Next Month

The amended Draft Environmental Impact Report has been published for the 21-story mixed-use proposal at 35 South Second Street in Downtown San Jose. The project, dubbed the Energy Hub Tower, is scheduled for review by the Planning Commission next week, and the city council is expected to consider final approval for the plans in mid-December. If approved, it will bring the development team, Westbank and Urban Community, closer to adding the Bjarke Ingels Group-designed tower to fruition.

Construction Estimate for Balboa Reservoir Townhomes, San Francisco

New plans have been published for the Balboa Reservoir townhomes, an 89-unit component for the project that will create over a thousand homes next to the City College of San Francisco. The development team, led by AvalonBay Communities and BRIDGE Housing, told the SF Business Times they expect to purchase the land by the end of the year. With plans approved two years ago and the property sale likely, the team is eyeing a groundbreaking by 2024.
