The Plan Code Amendments from San Francisco’s Small Business Recovery Act have been submitted to the Planning Department. The application comes directly from the office of Mayor London Breed. The proposed legislation includes amendments to reduce bureaucracy, save time for small businesses, and support individuals and institutions working in arts and culture. The application has been received and is now pending review.

Oakland’s Design Review Committee is scheduled to review updated designs for what could become the tallest skyscraper in the Bay Area outside of San Francisco. The 623-foot office tower will rise at 415 20th Street, two hundred feet higher than the current tallest building in Downtown Oakland, the Ordway Building. Hines is the project developer.
Development permits have been filed for a new residential development at 942 Pine Street in the Village Bottoms neighborhood of West Oakland. The proposal is to build on a vacant lot four single-family townhomes. The Oakland-based Duong Family Investment LLC is the project developer.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is expected to give their second and final approval for the 61-story mixed-use proposal for 550 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The highly-anticipated approval comes after the supervisors voted 10 to 1 to allow construction. The project is located on Parcel F of the Transbay district development plan and represents the last major project from the plan sixteen years since it was adopted.
The San Jose planning commission will review and vote on adopting the Berryessa BART Urban Village Plan as a guiding policy document in a public meeting tomorrow evening. The plan would rezone 28.9 acres surrounding the newly-opened BART station to allow for over four million square feet of commercial space and roughly 5,100 new residential units.
