Development permits have been approved for the demolition of two units for the construction of the 16-unit townhouse project at 220-228 Carroll Street in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County. The subdivision is split between three structures, with units ranging in size from 1,280 square feet to four-bedrooms and 2,130 square feet. Terra Holdings is responsible for the proposal through 220 Carroll Street LLC.
New renderings have been released as developers filed preliminary applications for an affordable senior housing development at 2125 Telegraph Avenue, located in the northern portion of Downtown Oakland. The eight-story building will rise beside the 1910-built former home to Oakland’s YMCA. Mercy Housing is responsible for the development.
New renderings have been released for a residential building at 950 Hough Avenue in Lafayette, Contra Costa County. The illustrations come as the city council continues to push back a decision to approve the project, which would provide twenty new houses near the city center, of which three will be sold as affordable housing. The Griggs Resource Group is responsible for the development, operating through 950 Hough Investors LLC.
The Marriott Marquis at 55 Fourth Street in SoMa is the 47th tallest tower in SFYIMBY’s Countdown of the 52 tallest buildings planned or built in the Bay Area. This asymmetrical tower stands as the most prominent postmodernist skyscraper in the city and an enduring icon in the skyline. The hotel was completed in 1989 with a rooftop height of 436 feet.
New development plans have been released for Cambrian Plaza Park, a mixed-use multi-structure proposal for 14200 & 14420 Union Avenue in Willow Glen, San Jose. The development includes three main buildings surrounded by 48 new single-family houses and 25 three-story townhouses. Weingarten Realty Investors is responsible for the project as the property owner.
