New illustrations have been revealed for the design template of four stations along California’s high speed rail in the Central Valley. Foster + Partners and ARUP are responsible for the project. The Central Valley line is part of the first phase of construction for the highly-anticipated infrastructure project to connect Los Angeles to San Francisco.
Three project applications with nearly nine hundred units have been published for buildings in the Parkmerced master plan next to the SFSU campus in San Francisco. The submissions are scheduled to be reviewed during the city’s Planning Commission meeting this Thursday. The informational presentation will allow staff and the public to comment on each project. San Francisco-based Maximus Real Estate Partners is the property owner and development sponsor.
New townhome-style units could be coming to 2391 Moorpark Avenue in Fruitdale, San Jose. The city has published the initial study’s findings, writing that it will not significantly affect the environment. The True Life Companies is the project developer.
New renderings have been published for the ten-story residential infill at 2900 Shattuck Avenue in South Berkeley, Alameda County. The plan replaces two low-slung commercial structures with 221 new homes above shops, including about two dozen affordable homes. The ambitious NX Ventures developer is responsible for the application.
More funds have been secured for the Sacramento Valley Station redevelopment plan, a vision to shape the city’s historic transit hub and seventh busiest Amtrak station in the country into a dense pedestrian-oriented destination. The State awarded $42 million to the Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority to fund the new bus depot, part of the early phasing for construction.
