Concrete has reached the 10th floor of the Helen Diller Anchor House, a mixed-use student dorm for UC Berkeley at 1921 Walnut Street in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The $300 million project is rapidly approaching its 14-floor peak, with plans for 772 apartment-style bedrooms and university facilities. Morris Adjmi Architects is responsible for the design.
New plans have been revealed for the five-story residential infill at 300 Lambert Avenue in Palo Alto, Santa Clara County. The latest filing uses Senate Bill 330 with the Builder’s Remedy to provide a better design, larger homes, but with four fewer than initially proposed. Peninsula Land & Capital is the project applicant.

The San Francisco Recreation & Parks Commission approved the conceptual designs two weeks ago. The renovation project is a joint venture between San Francisco Recreation & Parks and the Friends of Jackson Park (FoJP).
New renderings have been revealed for the 17-story mixed-use tower expected to rise from the California Theater at 2115 Kittredge Street in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The updated plan shows how the historic facade will be preserved with a new theater for live performances capped by 218 apartments. Gilbane Development is responsible for the project.
Construction is rising for the new six-story senior housing facility at 2000 Dwight Way in South Berkeley, Alameda County. With the concrete podium at the second floor, crews aim to open by the Spring of 2024 with 113 units and associated amenities. MorningStar Senior Living and BayRock Multifamily are partnering for the development.
