Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project at 2421 Fifth Street in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development of two new residential buildings, replacing an existing single-family house on the site. Gunkel Architecture is responsible for the design concepts. Properties 180, LLC is the property owner.
Construction has topped out, with facade installation starting at 1265 Borregas Avenue in Sunnyvale’s Moffett Park area. The project will open as the first mass timber office building in Google’s expansive Sunnyvale office campus. Michael Green Architecture is responsible for the design.

The project proposal includes the development of a five-story building featuring residential and commercial spaces. Plans call for the demolition of an existing structure on the site. Tricap Development is the project developer.
New renderings reveal the proposed new laboratory expected to rise at 290 De Haro Street in San Francisco’s Design District neighborhood. The five-story project would rise between 15th and 16th Street, across from 300 De Haro Street. Aralon Properties is responsible for the development.
The ninth tallest tower in the Bay Area planned or built is One Rincon Hill, one of the tallest fully residential building west of the Mississippi River. Finished in 2008, the 641-foot tower led the procession of construction that now defines Rincon Hill and the southern portion of San Francisco’s SoMa skyline overlooking the Bay Bridge. Solomon Cordwell Buenz is the project architect.
