Pre-application permits have been filed for a seven-story apartment building at 2300 Ellsworth Street in Southside, Berkeley. The proposal, located across from the UC Berkeley campus, is expected to produce around 90 units with the assistance of Senate Bill 330. Riaz Capital is the
project applicant.
The San Francisco Civic Design Review Committee is scheduled to review the Japantown Peace Plaza renovations at 1610 Geary Boulevard. The plans will revamp the historic public park, first opened in the late 1960s as a gift from San Francisco’s sister city, Osaka, Japan. The SF Recreation and Park Department is the project client.

The City of Oakland and Strada Investment Group are closing on a deal for leasing 520 11th Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. The 0.86-acre property is entitled to become the future ten-story addition to Samuel Merritt University. The project was approved this summer.
A new affordable housing project has been approved for development at 2956 International Boulevard in Fruitvale, Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of a five-story building offering 100 % affordable housing units. TPC CS Holdings LLC is the property owner. Pacific West Communities Inc is the project applicant. AO Architects is responsible for the designs.
