Permits have been filed to build a 7-story mixed-use structure at 419 4th Street in the Jack London Square neighborhood of Oakland. The address sits between Broadway and Franklin Street. The site is within walking distance of downtown Oakland and is six blocks away from the Oakland Jack London Square. While renderings have not been released, we can confirm that Lowney Architectureis responsible for the design.

2200 Calle De Luna applies for Permits, Tasman East Specific Plan, Santa Clara

Permits have finally been filed for three twelve-story towers at 2200 Calle De Luna, in Tasman East, Santa Clara. This development is the first in a series of projects from the city’s Tasman East Specific Plan. City plans aim to transform 45 acres of a low-rise industrial neighborhood to be a high-density residential and office district with proximity to light rail and the Levi’s Stadium. Holland Partners Group is responsible for the development of 2200 Calle De Luna.

IKEA is coming to San Francisco

Ingka Centres has announced that they will bring IKEA into the city as the firm purchased the 6X6 Mall at 945 Market Street in SoMa, San Francisco. IKEA will be the anchor tenant, occupying 70,000 square feet, with 180,000 square feet of leasable space still available for future businesses. The move has provided hope for the city’s retail market in 2021, with work starting before the year’s end.
