Excavation work is wrapping up for the first phase of the new Youtube Headquarters in San Bruno, San Mateo County. A corner facade mock-up has been delivered on-site, showing off the SHoP Architects-designed black integrated metal louver system that will wrap around the mass-timber framework in the new offices. San Francisco-based Ellis Partners is the development manager.
New plans have been filed for a seven-story affordable housing infill at 8930 MacArthur Boulevard in Castlemont, Oakland. The project is now expected to create 83 efficiency units, more than double the initial plans. Workbench is the project architect and property owner.
A new residential project has been proposed for development at 2356 California Street in Fillmore District, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of two four-story buildings. The project also proposes the demolition of an existing single-story commercial building on the site. Redwood Properties LLC is the property owner. EAG Studio is responsible for the designs.
The Berkeley Zoning Board has unanimously approved permits for 2190 Shattuck Avenue, one of the tallest buildings in the city’s pipeline. The 25-story project is expected to rise from the Downtown Berkeley core with 326 homes above retail. Landmark Properties, the project applicant, is likely to start construction as soon as next summer.
Plans have been filed for a residential project at 541 Goettingen Street in Portola, San Francisco. The plans will replace a vacant lot with a new four-bedroom single-family house. Stephen McEvoy of KS Development is listed as responsible for the application.
