A new residential project might soon be cropping up at 101 South Jackson Avenue in San Jose. The project proposal includes the development of new two-story townhomes and a conventional rezoning of the project site from single-family residence zoning to a mixed-use neighborhood zoning district. A single-story house and detached garage on the site were demolished. Habitat for Humanity is the project developer. Geoffrey Holton Associates is responsible for the design concepts.
Construction is wrapping up for Lofton at Portola, a 54-unit single-family development located in the Portola neighborhood. As highlighted earlier this year by the San Francisco Chronicle, the project is the largest housing development to be finished in the diverse neighborhood in 50 years. Tri Pointe Homes is responsible for the development.
