The City of Oakland’s Planning Department is scheduled today to review the preliminary development plans and receive public comment about the mixed-use proposal around the Lake Merritt BART Station in Downtown Oakland. The proposal would reshape two city blocks at 51 9th Street and 107 8th Street with apartments, office space, retail, open space, and community amenities. The prolific Strada Investment Group and the Oakland-based East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation are responsible through a joint venture.
New renderings have been revealed from planning documents for a twelve-story group housing project at 300 De Haro Street in Potrero Hill, San Francisco. The recent iteration of the proposal is poised to create 450 co-living units on the neighborhood border with SoMa, including affordable housing. DM Development is responsible for the project, with BAR Architects in charge of design.
Permits have been submitted seeking the approval of a mixed-use structure at 51 Innes Court, Bayview Hunters Point. The project proposal includes the construction of residential units with resident-service offices. Lennar Urban is the property owner. Ian Birchall and Associates is managing the design concept and construction.
Facade installation is all but finished for the latest residential tower in Silicon Valley, MIRO. The project is located at 181 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose, directly across from the Meier & Partners-designed City Hall tower. A recent site visit by SFYIMBY shows the pace of construction, just as the leasing agent Greystar has shared new renderings of the nearly complete amenities.
Conditional Use Authorization permits have been filed for an eight-story residential project at 2134-2140 Market Street in the Duboce Triangle corner of the Castro, San Francisco. The project will yield 70 new units, making use of the State Density bonus. Macy Architecture is the architect and has confirmed Kent Mirkhani of 2134 Market Street is their client and project developer.
