New illustrations have been revealed with an exploratory planning application for the 24-story residential development at 600 Castro Street in West Oakland. The renderings show the upzoned massing, 190 feet higher than its current zoning for 85 feet. The proposal is yet another beneficiary of California’s State Density Bonus Program, which aims to increase residential development with affordable units for the housing-starved state.
The City of Burlingame is to review details for a residential infill at One Adrian Court, located nearby the Millbrae BART Station and its adjacent mixed-use expansion, Gateway at Millbrae. The proposal will replace the existing single-story commercial structure plus surface parking with 265 new apartments. SummerHill Apartments is responsible for the project.
Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a new multi-family residential development at 1526 Powell Street in Russian Hill, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the development of a six-story apartment building above an existing two-story industrial building. JS Sullivan Development is responsible for the project.
Renderings have been published for a proposed hotel at 501 Industrial Road in San Carlos, San Mateo County. Dubbed Hotel Indigo, the six-story project will replace three single-story commercial structures right by the Holly Street intersection with 101. RYS Architects, a San Francisco-based firm, is responsible for the design.
The final design review is complete for Berkeley Commons, an industrial campus at 600 Addison Street by the Berkeley Marina. Progressing closer to construction, the project is expected to create nearly half a million square feet for the Bay Area’s Research and Development industry. Lane Partners and LB2 Partners are jointly responsible for the development.
