The project has replaced a surface parking lot while expanding the existing Gateway Campus opened by the co-owners Alexandria Real Estate Equities and Boston Properties.
A preliminary application has been filed seeking the approval of a mixed-use project proposed at 6341 Shattuck Avenue in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story mixed-use apartment building. Plans call for the demolition of an existing one-story commercial building on the site.

The project will reshape the existing quarter-acre property with single-occupancy units, replacement housing, and retail. Aron Homes LLC is the project developer.

The project proposal includes the development of multiple family residences on two property lots. If developed, the project will replace Creekside Inn, a commercial property, on the site.
