Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project at 749 Grant Avenue in Chinatown, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the addition of a two-story residence to an existing two-story commercial building. Remodeling of the basement is also proposed. XIE Associates Architectural Design & Planning is responsible for the design concepts.
Caltrain has published new renderings for a proposed two-tower office project across from Diridon Station. The north and south towers will rise with over a million square feet of office space between a new pedestrian plaza, establishing the project as a gateway to Downtown West and San Jose. Caltrain is the property owner.
The Emeryville Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans for a new office building at 1580 62nd Street in Emeryville, Alameda County. The project, named EmeryStation Overland, would replace three single-story warehouses with 300,000 square feet and a six-story parking garage. Wareham Development is responsible for the application.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held today to announce the opening of Francisco Park in Russian Hill, San Francisco. The proposed park is on the site of the old Francisco Reservoir. Mayor London Breed along with Supervisor Catherine Stefani and Recreation and Parks General Manager Phil Ginsburg and the residents of the city will be celebrating the triumphant moment at 11 AM today. Cahill Construction is on the project construction team, while Earthscape is responsible for the designs.

The project will replace a two-story commercial structure on a skinny 4,000 square foot lot with a new tourist hotel, group housing, and ground-level retail.
