The 30th tallest tower planned or built in the Bay Area is One Montgomery Tower at 120 Kearny Street in San Francisco’s Financial District. The 500-foot office building was erected in 1982, adding 801,720 square feet of new floor area to the downtown. Cushman and Wakefield, the prominent global commercial real estate services firm, is managing the office space.
New renderings have been revealed along with a preliminary project assessment application for a residential building at 67-69 Belcher Street in San Francisco’s Castro neighborhood. The development would add 36 new units to the city’s housing market. Stanley Saitowitz | Natoma Architects is responsible for the design.
New townhouses are being planned on Stuart Street in Lafayette, Contra Costa County. The project proposal includes the construction of twelve condominium units within three separate buildings on two vacant parcels. Bay Area Urban Development is the project sponsor. Several new renderings have been revealed with a detailed look at the block-sized mixed-use development proposed by Urban Catalyst for 147 East Santa Clara Street in Downtown San Jose. The project would add new offices, housing, and retail in the burgeoning area around city hall as San Jose’s sustained growth establishes a more urban core for the capital of Silicon Valley. The proposal is part of the Urban Catalyst Opportunity Zone Fund II, launched earlier this year.
A project introducing a seven-story office space makes progress; new renderings have been published for 2 Stockton Street in Tenderloin, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the vertical expansion of an existing four-story retail building by adding two floors of office space and a small penthouse office-level inclusive of outdoor terrace space.
