Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a new residential project at 681 27th Street in West Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story apartment building. Emeryville-based Gunkel Architecture is responsible for the designs.
Images from a YIMBY reader show most of the first building’s steel framework has been erected at Southline, a massive life sciences development in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The new purpose-built laboratory is the first of eleven structures that will occupy the 28.5-acre master plan. The first phase of construction has seen Beacon Capital Partners join Lane Partners and Goldman Sachs in the ownership group.
Revised plans are scheduled for discussion during tonight’s Berkeley Design Review Committee tonight about 3030 Telegraph Avenue in South Berkeley, Alameda County. The committee will see new designs published for the five-story residential mid-rise with 144 apartments and a small corner retail spot. Riaz Capital is responsible for the application.
A preliminary application has been filed seeking the approval of an affordable housing complex at 8452 Edes Avenue in Oakland. The project proposal includes the conversion of a hotel building into an affordable housing complex. The hotel built was constructed in 1988. Gunkel Architects will be involved with renovating the facilities to become permanent affordable housing.
Plans are underway for a five-story residential infill at 6115 Potrero Avenue in El Cerrito, Contra Costa County. The development will replace a single-story commercial structure on a narrow parcel with 63 homes above retail, with groundbreaking expected as early as this year. Potrero Partners LLC, led by Coldwell Banker realtor Kim Marienthal, is listed as the project sponsor.
