The Draft Environmental Impact Report has been re-filed for the Hyatt Place proposal in Half Moon Bay along the San Mateo County coast. The proposal would build undeveloped land with 129 new guest rooms while leaving 40 percent of the five-acre lot as open space. Mason Architects is responsible for the design.
Preliminary permits have been filed for a seven-story SRO project at 1401 Folsom Street, located in SoMa, San Francisco. The project would replace a surface parking lot at the corner of Folsom and 10th Street with 72 bedrooms above ground-level retail. Yosef Tahbazof is listed as the property owner responsible for the project.
Oakland Planning Commission finally approved a housing project for development at 1396 Fifth Street in West Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story building offering 222 dwelling units in a transit-oriented project site. The Michaels Organization is the project developer.
New building permits have been filed by Bright Street Inc for 2065 Kittredge Street, an eight-story residential proposal in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The applications are to demolition two of the three buildings required for the 188-unit development. Chicago-based CA Ventures is responsible as the building owner.
A new residential project has been approved for construction at 3046-3050 MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story building offering residential units. Plans call for the demolition of a vacant commercial building on the site. Kotas/Pantaleoni Architects is responsible for the design concepts.
