Ingka Centres has announced that they will bring IKEA into the city as the firm purchased the 6X6 Mall at 945 Market Street in SoMa, San Francisco. IKEA will be the anchor tenant, occupying 70,000 square feet, with 180,000 square feet of leasable space still available for future businesses. The move has provided hope for the city’s retail market in 2021, with work starting before the year’s end.
Permits have been filed for a single-family home and an additional dwelling unit at 868 20th Street in Oakland’s Ralph Bunche neighborhood. The address is between Curtis Street and Market Street. It is close to downtown Oakland, taking just over twenty minutes of walking to Lake Merritt.
Plans to renovate and expand the Mission Branch Library at 300 Bartlett street are moving forward. The project, located in San Francisco’s Mission District neighborhood, will modernize and improve the 1914-era structure’s functions and restore the original entrance and main staircase and increase its square footage. San Francisco Public Works is responsible for the design.

The site is between 24th street and 26th street in a predominantly residential neighborhood, with some warehouses. A nearby connection to BART at West Oakland Station provides accessible transit around the Bay Area.

Access to the Bernal Heights Park is available just a few lots up the street. This means plenty of recreational space and views of the central business district for future residents. The developer for the project is not known.
