The Sobrato Organization is planning a 295-foot office building for 282 South Market Street in Downtown San Jose. The project is in the news following the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) publication, with updated numbers and positive indications for its development. Sobrato’s plans would transform the parking lot in the city center into an active hub for the growing city.
Demolition Permits have been filed for 3275 San Bruno Avenue in Visitacion Valley, San Francisco in order to build a multi-family residential project. The proposal includes demolishing a two-story two-unit building consisting of a warehouse and a private garage. Schaub Ly Architects are managing the demolition and construction.
New building permits have been filed for a residential expansion at 660 Clipper Street in Noe Valley, San Francisco. Nine new units and extra open space will be added to the site by reclaiming parking space for housing. Veritas Investments Inc. are responsible for the development through 610-660 Clipper I1 LLC.
Recent demolition permits have been filed to make way for a mixed-use 18-story tower at 921 Howard Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The permits receive prioritization thanks to the 2013 Executive Directive #13-01, signed by the late Mayor Edwin Lee. The Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is the property owner and is overseeing that all 203 units will be sold as affordable housing.

The proposal includes a housing tower with rooftop amenities that may consist of an infinity pool, all set to sprout at the site of the old Bo Town restaurant in downtown San Jose. BoTown Residential is a 29-story housing high-rise in downtown San Jose with ground-floor retail at 409 and 425 S. Second Street. Concept and design are by James K.M. Cheng Architects and Steinberg Hart.
